Meet our staff

DR. ALISA CORSER

Dr. Alisa Corser grew up in the small town of Clermont, Florida, where she began trading barn chores for riding lessons at an early age. While in high school and college she spent her afternoons and weekends as a working student at a combined training barn in Ocala. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 2008, and remained in Gainesville to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Following graduation, she completed a one year internship at a The Piedmont Equine Practice in Virginia, a very well respected clinic that cared for many elite, Olympic calibre sport horses. Alisa special interests include sports medicine, foals and emergency medicine. Her ginger cat, Thomas Henry, flew all the way from Florida to join her in the Kiwi adventure. Over the last four years, she has welcomed two retired thoroughbreds, Wizard and Hazel, to the family. Her assistant, Willow (an english pointer), keeps a close eye on both your horse...and the birds in the stable.

Dr C.G. Murfitt

Corin was brought up on a thoroughbred stable complex (the Riccarton Stud). The Murfitt family is the oldest registered racing family in NZ. Corin graduated from Massey in 1967 and has practised in Canterbury for the last 50 years, making him the longest practicing veterinarian in New Zealand! Though Corin officially retired from general practice in April 2017, you'll see him sporting his tweed hat and jacket (and vest if it's blowing an easterly) on premier race days. His profound knowledge and expertise will continue to be an invaluable asset to us here at Premier Equine.

Robyn

Robyn is the friendly voice on on the end of the phone Monday through Wednesday. She has a tremendous amount of experience and this practice only operates smoothly because of her. She has two gorgeous West Highland White Terriers, Poppy and Darcy, who keep her busy when not at the office.

Bobbity

Bobbity works at the office when Robyn is not here (usually Thursdays and Fridays). She is Corin's wife, so you should be nice to her. She is a good baker, so if you time your visit to the office right, you may get some fresh scones or muffins.
